The Last Wanderer is a small level made in Unity for an Environmental Storytelling project for an advanced-level design course. The level was designed to tell a story through both implicit and explicit narratives and guide the player through a series of areas designed to set both the atmosphere and plot. Emphasis was placed on lighting and audio effects. The assets used were from Unity's asset store, and I created some assets within Maya. The project was built over the course of 3 weeks.
The level was built to offer players small amounts of non-linearity, as the player can choose to progress through the middle section of the level in any order, and the teleporters will transport them to any incomplete level, and finally to the final room. Interactivity was looked at, and the level was built with many interactable elements such as doors and collectibles.
